Do you have an intriguing story idea or a theme that would be interesting for the next issue of Northwest Public Health? If so, we would like to hear from you!

Northwest Public Health is published by the University of Washington School of Public Health and produced by the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice. The mission of the magazine is to provide a forum for practitioners, collaborators, and all who share an interest in public health to exchange ideas, describe innovations, and discuss current issues.

If you have an idea for a story or a theme for the next issue of the magazine, please email Laura Haas ( with the following information:

  • Your name and contact information, and the names of any contacts to follow up with on a story lead
  • 1–3 sentences describing your project or story idea
  • Any web links to relevant content or story ideas

If your story idea is selected, one of our writers will contact you to develop the idea into an article for publication.
